Proper maintenance helps ensure the optimal performance, safety, and lifespan of your Pilates equipment. The frequency of inspections will depend on how often the machine is used, particularly in studios, clinics, and professional facilities.
After each use, clean the upholstery and contact surfaces with a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water and mild soap.
Avoid abrasive products, solvents, or harsh chemicals, and do not spray cleaning products directly onto the machine.
Also keep the carriage rails free of dust, hair, and other debris.
Periodically check that the carriage moves smoothly, evenly, and quietly.
If you notice any noise, friction, vibration, or resistance during movement, it is very important to check that the wheels are properly adjusted and correctly aligned on their axles.
A loose or misaligned wheel can cause friction and uneven wear on the components.
If the problem persists after carrying out these checks, we recommend contacting our After-Sales Service.
Periodically check the condition of the springs, ropes, straps, pulleys, and attachment systems.
The springs should show no signs of deformation, corrosion, or visible damage. Ropes and straps should be kept in good condition, with no fraying or deterioration.
If any component shows signs of wear or damage, it should be replaced before continuing to use the machine.
Continuous use may cause minor adjustments to loosen over time. Periodically check screws, nuts, knobs, pins, carabiners, and other fastening components to ensure they are properly tightened and secured.
For Reformers with Towers and Cadillacs, pay particular attention to the anchor points, push-through bar, and tower safety systems.
Keep the machines in a dry, well-ventilated indoor space, avoiding high humidity, sudden temperature changes, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
For wooden frames, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid excessive moisture.
Do not lubricate moving parts indiscriminately. Use only suitable products and only on components where lubrication is specifically indicated, such as pulleys, pivot points, and certain metal joints. However, do not lubricate the carriage wheels and bearings, guides or rails, springs, ropes, or straps.
Incorrect lubrication can attract dirt or affect the proper functioning of certain components.
Stop using the machine if you notice:

As an additional protective measure, you can use mats specifically designed for Reformers and Cadillacs. They help protect contact surfaces and make routine equipment cleaning easier.
Their use complements, but does not replace, regular inspections and maintenance of the machine.
If you notice any wear, damage, or unusual behavior during an inspection, please contact CUORE PILATES After-Sales Service through our Incident Report Form.
Our team can help you identify the affected component and advise you on its inspection or replacement.
